| Joshua Selman (NYC,) Yale, 1985, practices public space intervention, large scale installation, cultural-strategy, critical journalism and applied new media. Has made major works in sound (notable: several with Westdeutscher Rundfunk, Koln,) performance and objects. Is a noted Intermedia artist who worked extensively with Fluxus Founders Alison Knowles, Dick Higgins (seminal intermedia theorist) and debuted at Emily Harvey Gallery. Served as Executive Director of The International Artists Museum, New York Center, Inc. Participating artist in many Construction In Process (CiP) Biennials. A key organizer of international exchange for CiP associated artists and New York City institutions. Principal artist and organizer in Lance Fung Gallery, NYC, in 2009 participated in Lance Fung’s Wonderland (an urban exhibition benefitting San Francisco’s Tenderloin community) as an Artist, Journalist and Strategic Partner. Founder, Artist Organized Art parent of wholly owned free standing subsidiary New Observations, LTD, publisher New Observations Magazine. Recently in South Korea as a Resident Artist, Gyeonggi Creation Center, Gyeonggi MoMA, Gyeonggi-do, Ansan-Si, Daebo-do. |
